INTERACTIVE POWERPOINT FOR WHITEBOARD USE

I created these PowerPoints to use in my own Y5 and Y6 classes. The children really enjoyed them and remembered the language so much better than usual so I decided to make it available for others to use. I am not a programmer... these are not slick and glossy, but the children still liked them! Why not download the free section to see what you think & if you think it's worth having the other 4 topics won't cost you too much. They can be used in conjunction with the playing cards, but can also be used independently. Ideal for both specialist & non-specialist teachers. Each topic includes the following components:

- introduction of vocabulary with native speaker voice over for pronunciation practice
- games to practise the vocabulary - 15 seconds to guess the emerging picture
- what disappeared / what's missing?
- match the picture to the sound
- match the text to the picture
- Loto (children use their own set of cards)
- Grab it! (a HOT favourite with most children!)

- a printable worksheet for photocopying.
- a printable teacher's guide.

• Le Sport names of sports, use of jouer/faire, negatives. "Je" form only
• En Ville - names of buildings in town
• Les Directions. Giving & asking directions
• Mes Animaux talking about your pets and their names
• Ma Famille introducing members of family. saying how many brothers, sisters, step brothers/sisters you have
